We are committed to safeguarding your privacy. Most features of the app are fully functional without any personal information. Where data is processed, it is done so with minimal collection, strict security, and full transparency.

We Collect No Personal Information for Basic App Usage

We do not collect, use, save, or have access to any of your personal data when you use the Portfolio Performance app for tracking and managing your investments locally on your device.

Your portfolio files and settings are stored exclusively on your device. We do not process or transmit this information, and we have no access to it.

Historical Data Service (Optional Feature)

If you choose to access historical equity data (US and EU), you must create an account using your email address. This account is used solely to:

  • Authenticate you for the historical data service
  • Manage access to data resources

We do not use this email for advertising or tracking. No other personal information is required or collected.

Cloud Storage Providers (Optional Feature)

If you connect a cloud storage provider (such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox):

  • All data remains securely on your device
  • The app accesses your cloud storage in read-only mode
  • The portfolio file is cached locally and stored in a private app directory
  • Encryption/password-protection remains active if you’ve enabled it

While connecting to these providers may involve granting an OpenID token for authentication, we do not store or use any personal user data from that token. No data is shared with third-party services.

App Analytics

To improve the app and understand usage patterns, we rely on generalized analytics provided by:

  • Apple App Store Connect
  • Google Play Console
  • Sentry (for error and crash reporting)

These services may collect anonymized technical data such as:

  • Crash reports and logs
  • Device model and configuration
  • App and operation system version
  • IP address or proxy (temporarily, for diagnostics)

This data is non-personal and cannot identify you individually.

Your Choices and Controls
  • You can use the core features of the app without providing any personal data
  • Sign-up is only required to access historical market data
  • Cloud storage integration is optional and local-only
  • You may delete your account and associated data at any time
